HERE IS HIS RESPONSE WHEN HE BACKED OFF FROM HIS DECISION TO LET THE MILITARY PAY FOR THEIR WAR INJURIES. WHAT AN EMPTY HEADED PERSON HE MUST BE....
Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty. The
President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal.
"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute.." "I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, "Obama continued. "I wasn't asking for
blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."
Please pass this on to every one including every vet and their families whom you know.
How in the world did a person with this mind-set become our leader? I didn't vote for him!!!
REMEMBER THIS STATEMENT... "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice?
wow. I mean really, WOW. Worst crisis we've seen? Not on your life dude! And this is the guy you want those soldiers coming home to? This is the man you think is HELPING them?!?!?!?
oi. What has this country come to that this is our role model?
Maybe I'm just to opinionated, but maybe this guy should never have been in office. I had to watch him take office in a 4th hour last year, ready to start crying. Yes, those people took the risks of going there, BUT THATS WHY WE ARE SUPPORTING THEM!
Does this guy really know so little? I need to chill on the ramble front I suppose. heres Geneva with her segment for this post
New Years Resolutions
High school as we all know it is entered into our lives as of this last week, some for the first time, others for the fourth and final year. Each year is a great experience with many opportunities to learn so much despite the constant drive to be someone new. Most of us have faced that line of social life and only few have been courageous enough to fully cross it. I, however, shied away from what intimidated me and had been a coward in the face of change and variety, and though I knew that it could be the chance of a lifetime to get out there and be a part of life and experience high school to the limits, it was too different. I am going to cross that line, just a little bit, and have some fun this year. I don't know about you, but if we have to be locked into a building for six hours, let's at least make it worth being at. Let's all try and make this a year to remember by getting out of the books and classrooms before school and during lunch, get to know a couple people, and maybe even join a club. Who knows, you might just enjoy yourself.
There is a ton we actually CAN do. I for one am trying to be involved in EVERYTHING that I can (plus make the grades to be aloud to)
Anyways, check in later this week for more!
