Okay, this week we have some random 8th graders coming to check out the high school. AVID students are being recruited to supervise and tour them around, So good luck and thank you for doing that so we don't have to!^^
This week I would like to recognize Mr. Campbell as a special teacher, because of all his interesting techniques and opinions. Mr. Campbell has 1 marketing, 3 Algebra, and 1 into to business class ( I think). He does a great job, and Is a teacher open to new ideas. He is very intent on helping students with what they are doing, and has a great way of understanding views. Thank you Mr. Campbell for all your awesome work^^
Geveva's Writing for today is outstanding as she says:
There I stand,
the background blurred,
my point neglected.
My positon disturbed,
I lay in a feild,
emptyness and prarie 'round.
Running forward,
there I sit,
keys at my fingers
and sound at my ears.
Galloping across,
everything is dark,
Craving my vitality,
a place where not belonging-
but at least existing-
I can stand on my own
with the background blurred
Thank you Geneva for your lovely and creative work.:)
And I can't wait to see your work for tomorrow....
I am going to rant a little now about our budget. The football field gets new fancy DIRT and yet the proposal for an AP Bio class is denied from lack of BUDGET. The new center for anrts is built (not that the new building isn't nice and all), and the ancient text books can't be replaced for 2 more years because WE DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY..
Right.
So the actual academics are being ignored for un-core classes? I don't mind the renovations, because those are nice things to have. but we got along fine with how everything was before, except the texts and actual educational equipment.
I understand the crisis with money right now, Of all people, I understand, but is it to much to ask for a little more brains in the operation?

Okay, about the budget...
The work going on in the football feild right now was voted on by the community YEARS ago. That money was put in a bond, and once the money is in a bond, it can't be used for anything else.
I don't get why, if it isn't necessary, we can't just have the public vote again to remove the bond since we are in such desperate need of money.
Another thing I don't geet is that we built the 9th grade campus? Hello... What good did that do us? They should have just had the community vote on expanding the highschool we already have.
Reasons:
1. Less expensive
2. More money to put towards things like.. Hmm, let's see... That small little thing called PAPER!!!
3. Once again it is LESS EXPENSIVE!!!
